The Double Trouble Bologna (DTB) project was born in 2014 in Bologna from the creativity of two Italian-African twins: Margherita and Caterina Libouri.
Raised with a cultural heritage rooted between Italy and Gabon, we wanted to create a brand that would mirror our story: a harmonious encounter between Italian-African aesthetics and Bolognese artisanal excellence.
From a small home workshop
In 2013, for her degree thesis, Margherita created a collection of leather bags that met with immediate success. That enthusiasm was the decisive push to transform a university intuition into an entrepreneurial project.
We started from a small home workshop, investing in digital from the very beginning to make our creations known beyond the city boundaries.
To the heart of Bologna
In just a few years, that vision grew to become a structured reality.
Today, we are present with two spaces in the center of Bologna: the workshop and the shop under the Two Towers.
In the former, we manage the production of small leather goods and clothing, as well as hosting leather crafting workshops. The shop, on the other hand, is the space dedicated to retail, where you can buy everything made in the workshop.

Tortellino Keychain
Inspired by Bologna, Margherita and Caterina created the first leather Tortellino Keychain, a small object that brings together Emilia-Romagna’s culinary tradition and their passion for leather craftsmanship.
Handmade in their Bologna workshop, it is now sold worldwide in a wide range of colours.
An ironic and distinctive symbol of the city, it represents a contemporary vision of Made in Italy, shaped by quality, identity and attention to detail.
